I played your game on stream the other day. The isometric perspective was really neat, but gave a lot of control issues, making controlling confusing, which is only made worse by the puzzles counting steps.
I found this step-counting mechanic very frustrating, especially since respawning didn't respawn the player at the start of the puzzle, but instead at the start of the room, thus increasing the chances of wasting steps before even beginning the puzzle - and the chance of wasting steps was pretty high due to the aforementioned control problems.
